Alvenius pipe systems combine low weight with high pressures, offer excellent corrosion resistance and easy assembly. A cost effective piping solution which has been succesfully applied for half a century within, for example, mining, civil engineering, snow making, irrigation and industry.

TP-Pipes for acid water (01/10 - 02)
A test of Alvenius Thermo-plastic coated pipes in dimension 152mm is being carried out at the Aitik mine, belonging to Boliden Mineral AB, since April, 2000 in a drainage pipeline conveying acid water (PH around 4,0) containing fine-grained sand.
This test of TP-pipes has up to date been very sucessful in a place where galvanized steel pipes previously started to leak after 3 months due to the very aggressive corrosion from the acid water.

The Pipe System Concept

  • Alvenius has specialised in customised deliveries directly to the site of all components needed to build a steel pipeline, wherever the location might be. For temporary or permanent use.
  • Assembly of the pipeline is quick and easy without the need for welding or specially trained personnel. In many cases even without the need for special handling equipment.
  • The pipe systems are available in dimensions from OD 48 to 610 mm (2"-24"), lengths up to 12 m (40 ft) of each pipe and working pressures up to 100 bar (1400 psi).
  • Depending on the requirements, all parts of the pipe system can be surface treated to withstand severe corrosive environments or media. In applications with abrasive media the pipe system components can be rubber lined.
