Drill Program Underway at Nak Property

  SEPTEMBER 2, 2003

Follow up on the results of a successful first phase of exploration conducted in July, Imperial Metals Corporation has commenced a 1,200 metre diamond drill program at the Nak property located near Atlin, British Columbia.

Two new zones of copper mineralization were identified: the Box Lake showing southeast, and the Jennusty showing northwest of the initial Joss'alun discovery. Drilling will be mainly focused on the Joss'alun and Jennusty showings. High priority soil geochemistry anomalies along the strike of known mineralization will also be drilled. Grab samples at the Jennusty mineralization graded up to 4.49% copper.

Stephen Robertson, a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101, supervised the preparation of the technical information. Samples were analyzed by Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd. in Vancouver.
