Thomas Mining Associates (TMA) was established in 1987 by its Principal, Dennis Thomas, a mining engineer with operational experience in mining for gold, base metals and industrial minerals throughout the world and who has, himself, been actively engaged in the recruitment of professional mining and quarrying personnel, at all levels, since 1979, for many years as Managing Director of Hunter Personnel (UK) Ltd.
TMA was formed to provide technical back-up to the mining and quarrying industries in the fields of personnel and management consultancy and worked closely with Hunter Personnel (UK) Limited in the recruitment of mining professionals and providing technical and management consultancy services to the international mining industry, until Hunter Personnel (UK) Ltd. closed down at the beginning of 1994.
Since that time, Thomas Mining Associates has taken over the role of the world's leading recruiter of professionals specialising purely in the mining, quarrying and extractive industries, having a world-wide base of truly international clients, from small operators to the largest major mining finance houses.
